Sports Mouthguards

• Mouthguards are made out of a thermoplastic material that is custom fit to the patients teeth.
  
  Benefits - According to the ADA, mouthguards “help cushion a blow to the face, minimizing the risk of broken teeth and injuries to your lips, tongue, face or jaw”.
  
   

Nightguards

• A nightguard may be necessary to prevent bruxism, or teeth grinding. According to ADA studies: More than half of dentists surveyed saw an increase of patients with dental conditions often associated with stress: Teeth grinding and clenching, chipped and cracked teeth, and symptoms of a temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder such as jaw pain and headaches.
  
  Benefits - This appliance prevents grinding and fractured teeth and alleviates headaches and soreness of the jaw.
